Srinagar, Oct 4 (JKNS): The Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF) 2025, organised by the Srikula Foundation, will be held on October 11 and 12 at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC), Srinagar, with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha scheduled to inaugurate the event.

As per news agency JKNS, The festival is made possible with the support of its sponsors J&K Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, and Rising Kashmir whose partnership enables this grand celebration of literature and culture.

This landmark festival will bring together renowned authors, poets, journalists, thinkers, and artists to celebrate literature, ideas, and dialogue. With thought-provoking sessions, panel discussions, book launches, poetry readings, and cultural performances, KLF 2025 promises to be a vibrant confluence of creativity and inspiration.

Addressing press conference in Srinagar as per news agency JKNS, Naira Manzoor from the Srikula Foundation said, “Through the Kashmir Literature Festival, the Srikula Foundation strives to preserve, celebrate, and promote the rich literary heritage of Kashmir, providing a platform for its writers, poets, and storytellers to reach wider audiences while ensuring that the Valley’s unique voices, traditions, and narratives continue to inspire generations to come.”

Advocate Jehanzeb Allaqband, from the organising team of KLF, added, “The Kashmir Literature Festival is a celebration of words, ideas, and culture in the heart of the Valley. More than just a gathering of writers and thinkers, it is a vibrant platform where stories come alive, voices are heard, and dialogues bridge communities.

With sessions spanning literature, art, history, and contemporary thought, KLF brings together diverse perspectives, nurtures emerging talent, and showcases the rich literary and cultural heritage of Kashmir to audiences both local and global.”

Aishwariya Attri, also from the Organising Team, said:

“The Kashmir Literature Festival is a platform where every story matters, every voice resonates, and the Valley’s literary spirit is celebrated in all its diversity.

It is not just about books; it is about celebrating voices, nurturing young talent, and building bridges of understanding through the power of storytelling.”

Highlights of KLF 2025, Over 50 distinguished speakers and authors from diverse fields. Sessions on contemporary literature, history, media, art, technology, and cultural heritage. Special focus on young voices, women writers, and Kashmiri literature. Book fair, art exhibition, and gala events showcasing Kashmir’s rich traditions.

Curated and presented by the Srikula Foundation, the Kashmir Literature Festival is envisioned as a platform to showcase Kashmir’s cultural richness while connecting it with global literary movements.

As the Foundation’s flagship initiative, the festival embodies Srikula’s mission of promoting dialogue, nurturing talent, and celebrating art, literature, and heritage. (JKNS)
