DC Ganderbal reviews implementation of Bharat Net, 4G saturation & other telecommunication issues

GANDERBAL: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore on Friday convened a meeting to review the implementation of Bharat Net, 4G saturation and telecommunication issues in the district.
The project is aimed to provide robust broadband connectivity through optical fibre cable (OFC) to all gram panchayats and villages across the district.
At the outset the meeting was informed that the Desktop Survey (block wise) of all seven blocks of Ganderbal district to finalise OFC routes to connect all gram Panchayats of the block in ring topology has been prepared and is under approval,
The concerned officer informed the chair that the physical survey will start soon, besides, the hand-over take-over of existing Bharat Net Phase-I Network is under process.
DC directed the Assistant Commissioner Revenue to handhold the concerned team wherever assistance needed viz. land issues etc. from the district administration.
He also directed Block Development Officers to provide assistance to the concerned in their respective blocks for facilitating smooth connectivity to Panchayat ghars etc.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Superintending Engineer KPDCL, Superintending Engineer PW R&B; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Ganderbal, Sub-divisional Magistrate Kangan, Div. Forest Officer SFD, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Chief Education Officer, Ex. Engineers of PHE, PW R&B Ganderbal, PWR&B Kangan, KPDCL Ganderbal, Div. Engineer Bharat Net, Dy.SP Hq., District Informatics Officer Ganderbal, Area Manager Bharat Net Ganderbal, besides BDOs, Sub. Div. Engineer BSNL Ganderbal, and Telecom Officer Ganderbal.
