BARAMULLA: Director Agriculture Kashmir Sartaj Ahmad Shah today chaired a detailed review meeting at Baramulla to take stock of the expenditure and progress under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), JKCIP, Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), and NABARD-funded projects.
While interacting with the officers, the Director emphasized judicious and timely utilization of available funds to maximize benefits for the farming community. He directed the field functionaries to accelerate the pace of work, ensure transparency in implementation, and achieve set physical and financial targets within the given timelines.
On the occasion, Chief Agriculture Officer Baramulla Sabina Qaunsar gave a brief power point presentation regarding the development activities and expenditure status in the district.
Sartaj shah highlighted that strengthening agriculture infrastructure, promoting technological interventions, and ensuring effective delivery of schemes are key to enhancing productivity and improving the socio-economic conditions of farmers. He called for regular monitoring and accountability at all levels to make the schemes more result-oriented.
He directed the officers to prioritize farmer-centric interventions, maintain transparency in expenditure, and achieve set targets within the stipulated timelines. Emphasizing accountability, he called for close monitoring of projects to enhance efficiency and impact.
Senior officers of the department, district-level officers, and field functionaries attended the meeting.
