The upcoming games will feature competitions in four disciplines: Football, Wushu, Taekwondo, and Table Tennis. Athletes will compete across the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 age categories.

Elaborating on the preparations, Ms. Gupta confirmed the comprehensive schedule for the competitions.

The Football event for Under-19 Boys will be held from the 6th to the 10th of October at multiple venues including Pologround, TRC Srinagar, S.P. College, University of Kashmir, GCOPE Ganderbal, and Green Valley in Srinagar.

This will be followed by the Wushu championship for Under-17 Boys and Girls from the 28th of October to the 1st of November at the Indoor Sports Complex and Indoor Complex Pologround in Srinagar.

The sporting action will then move to Jammu, starting with the Taekwondo event for Under-19 Boys, scheduled in two phases from the 9th to the 13th of November and again from the 15th to the 19th of November at Bhagwati Nagar.

The games will conclude with the Table Tennis competition for Under-19 Boys and Girls from the 21st to the 25th of November at the Indoor Complex of Jammu University.

The National School Games (NSG) is India’s premier inter-school sports competition, organized under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India (SGFI).

It aims to identify and nurture young sporting talent from the grassroots level, providing a structured pathway for athletes to excel in national and international arenas.
