War Against Drugs; Major Success Against Narcotics: Shopian Police Seize 31.8 Kgs Charas

Shopian, Sep 27 (JKNS): In a decisive action against the drug menace, Shopian Police recovered contraband substances from the residential house/ cow shed of Showkat Ahmad Dar son of Late Abdul Satar Dar resident of Dachoo Zainapora, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Zainapora.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, Acting on reliable information, a police party from Police Station Zainapora accompanied by the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, raided the location. During the search, crashed charas like substance weighing approximately 31.800 Kgs was recovered from the residential house/cow shed of Showkat Ahmad Dar.

A case under FIR No. 76/2025 has been registered at Police Station Zainapora under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is going on and efforts are being made to arrest the absconding accused person.The operation was meticulously carried out by SHO Zainapora Inspr. Ghulam Jeelani under the supervision of SDPO Zainapora Shri Waseem Ahmad-JKPS under overall supervision of SSP Shopian Shri Anayat Ali Chowdhary-IPS, it reads.

Shopian Police urges citizens to actively support our anti-narcotics campaign. Any information regarding drug abuse or peddling can be reported on our helpline 9596768831 (PCR Shopian). The identity of informers will be kept strictly confidential SSP Shopian assured, reads the statement. (JKNS)
