Srinagar, Sep 27 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday ordered the summoning of the Legislative Assembly on October 23.
Earlier, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday chaired Cabinet meet where the cabinet recommended LG Manoj Sinha to summon J&K Assembly on October 13.
According to the notice issued by assembly secretariate as per news agency JKNS, the Assembly will meet at 10:00 AM on October 23, 2025, in Srinagar.
The order states: “I, Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 18(1) of the J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, do hereby summon the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to meet at Srinagar on Thursday, the 23rd October, 2025 at 10.00 AM.”
Subsequently, all members of the Legislative Assembly have been formally notified to attend the session. (JKNS)
