DG CRPF in Kashmir, Calls for Tactical Preparedness

Srinagar, Sep 22 (JKNS): Director General CRPF, Shri Gyanendra Pratap Singh, during his two-day visit to Kashmir Valley from September 22–23, lauded the courage of personnel and felicitated troopers involved in Operation Mahadev, where three militants linked to the killing of civilians in Baisaran Valley, Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, were eliminated.

Addressing personnel during a Samvad session at GC Srinagar on September 22, the DG stressed on the importance of combat fitness, self-discipline, and tactical preparedness to counter evolving security challenges in the Valley.

He later mingled with troops over high tea, encouraging them in an informal and interactive atmosphere.

The DG also chaired a high-level review meeting, joined by ADG J&K Zone Rajesh Kumar, IG (Ops) Directorate Gayendra Kumar Verma, IG Srinagar Sector Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG5 Kashmir Ops Vineet Brijlal, along with other senior CRPF officers of the Valley.

Discussions centered on strengthening counter-terror operations and ensuring lasting peace and security across Jammu and Kashmir. (JKNS)
