KVIC Jammu Begins Special Seva Parve Drive to Fast-Track SC/ST PMEGP Cases

Jammu, Sep 19: The State Office of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Jammu has initiated a special drive under Seva Parve with a focused approach to support SC/ST beneficiaries under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP).

As part of this initiative, a Bankers meeting was convened on 19th September 2025 under the chairmanship of Sh. Rajesh Kumar, State Director, KVIC, Ms. Shivali, Joint Director, DIC, Jammu, Sh. Anil Kumar Sharma, Nodal Officer, PMEGP, Sh. Neeraj Balhotra, J&K Bank, Dr. Sandeep Kotwal, Executive Officer, KVIB, Officials of DIC, leading banks, Lead District Managers (LDMs), Department of Posts, and other stakeholders.
The programme started with swadeshi pledge of Khadi Mahotsav.

During the meeting, Sh. Anil Kumar Sharma, Nodal Officer (PMEGP) made a detailed presentation (PPT) for all stakeholders, highlighting: The overall performance of PMEGP in Jammu & Kashmir. Progress made in sanctioning and disbursing cases of SC/ST beneficiaries.

The objectives and modalities of the ongoing special drive under Seva Parve. Key points emphasized in the deliberations included: Clearing all pending cases of SC/ST beneficiaries at the earliest. Reviewing rectification cases concerning SC/ST applicants.

Ensuring that beneficiaries belonging to minority communities, women, Persons with Disabilities (PWD), and ex-servicemen who also fall under the SC/ST category, furnish their valid SC/ST certificates under PMEGP. This step will enable faster subsidy release.

The special drive will continue in a phased manner. The next meeting under Seva Parve is scheduled to be held at Srinagar, followed by Leh (Ladakh). Directive to Banks & Implementing Agencies: All pending and rectification cases of SC/ST beneficiaries are to be cleared before 15th October 2025.

Speaking on the occasion, the State Director, KVIC Jammu, reiterated that this drive is part of the Commission’s commitment to ensure inclusive growth and priority support to SC/ST communities under PMEGP.
