Interfaith Sammelan Commemorates 350th Martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji in New Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 20 (JKNS): A Sarv Dharam Sammelan was organised at ICAR Convention Centre, Pusa Campus, New Delhi to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.

The interfaith conference witnessed participation of prominent religious leaders and scholars who paid tribute to the great sacrifice of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, remembered as the “Hind Di Chadar.”

Distinguished speakers at the event included Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Shri Chidanand Saraswati, Acharya Lokesh Ji, Shri Ravinder Pandita, Shri Goswami Ji, Bhikku Sanghsena Ji, Haji Syed Salman Chisty Ji, Rabbi Ezeikel Issac Ji, Rajyogi Binny Sareen Ji, Anil Joseph Ji, and Sardar Giani Raghbir Singh Ji.

Guest of honours at the Sammelan were S. Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Shri Kapil Mishra, cabinet ministers of the Delhi government, who lauded the teachings of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and his role in upholding religious freedom.

Ravinder Pandita, President of All India Kashmiri Samaj (Regd), was the only representative from Jammu & Kashmir to address the gathering. Highlighting Guru Teg Bahadur Ji’s legacy, he said, “We owe a lot to Guru Sahib, the saviour of Kashmiri Pandits during Aurangzeb’s rule.”

On the occasion, the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee felicitated Ravinder Pandita for his contribution to interfaith harmony and social service.

The Sammelan concluded with a collective message of peace, unity, and respect for all faiths, echoing the timeless values upheld by Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. (JKNS)
