Anantnag, Sep 20 (JKNS): A massive fire broke out in a residential house at K. Kalan Srigufwara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday, causing extensive damage to two houses and partial damage to another.
Officials told news agency — JKNS that the blaze started in the house of Gh Nabi Ganie, son of Late Abdul Khaliq Ganie, at K. Kalan Srigufwara. The flames quickly spread to the adjoining house belonging to Abdul Rashid Wani, son of Late Mohd Ramzan Wani, which was completely gutted in the incident.
They said another nearby house owned by Abdul Gani Dar, son of Late Lasi Dar, also caught fire but suffered partial damage before the flames were brought under control.
Fire tenders, locals, and police rushed to the spot and carried out joint efforts to douse the flames. The exact cause of the fire is being ascertained, officials added. (JKNS)
