Div Com directed all DCs to designate Nodal Officers in their respective districts exclusively to deal with migrant grievances. He underscored the importance of maintaining proper records, ensuring follow-up, and taking timely action for effective resolution.

He also instructed that all pending court cases related to migrants be actively monitored and pursued for swift disposal. Special emphasis was laid on identifying encroachments on migrant land and properties and initiating immediate removal.

Garg further directed that both online and offline grievance mechanisms be dealt with in a professional and time-bound manner, so that migrants receive prompt and quality redressal. He added that temple lands should be demarcated as per court directions and encroachments cleared without delay.

To streamline the process, Div Com instructed synchronization of data between Deputy Commissioners’ offices and the Divisional Commissioner’s office to eliminate duplication and repetition of cases. (JKNS)
