Srinagar, Sep 4 (JKNS): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has announced that all Government and Private Schools in the Valley will reopen for classwork from September 8, 2025 (Monday), following days of closure due to heavy rains and floods.

An order issued by the Directorate, as per news agency JKNS, stated that recent bad weather and subsequent flooding led to submergence of several school buildings and damage to some structures, delaying the resumption of classes.
