TIANJIN, CHINA — Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India met today with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China. The meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral relationship and addressing key regional and global issues.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia. Prime Minister Modi also conveyed that he is looking forward to hosting President Putin in India for the 23rd Annual Summit later this year.
