Special Lok Adalat settles 2173 cases amicably in Srinagar; Rs.38.6 lac awarded as settlement amount

SRINAGAR: To amicably resolve MACT (Motor Accident Claims Tribunal), matrimonial cases, Bank Recovery cases & Traffic Challans and other civil cases, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Srinagar, organized a Special Lok Adalat today at the District Court Complex, Mominabad, Srinagar.
The Lok Adalat was held under the chairmanship of Tasleem Arief, Principal District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar, and conducted under the supervision of Sajad Ur Rehman, Sub-Judge / Secretary, DLSA Srinagar.
To facilitate the amicable settlement of cases, 06 benches were constituted for the said Lok Adalat. Overall 2433 number of cases were taken up for settlement out of which 2173 number of cases were amicably settled & Rs. 38,60,972 was awarded as settlement amount.
