DDC Poonch reviews implementation of beneficiary oriented schemes, financial inclusion initiatives

POONCH: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a review meeting in the DC Office Conference Hall to assess the implementation of key beneficiary-oriented welfare schemes and financial inclusion initiatives in the district.
The heads of stakeholder departments presented detailed progress reports on flagship schemes such as PMAY-G, PMFBY, PM SVANidhi, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, Smart Kisan Credit Cards, Farmer Skilling Programs, SHG formation, HADP, IHHLs, Daksh Kisan, AIF, PMEGP and Poshan Tracker. Status of urban housing under PMAY (Urban) was also reviewed.
The DDC evaluated the progress of household tap water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission, NFSA/NPHH ration card distribution, and the functioning of the FCS & CA Department.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Xen JPDCL to scale up solar panel installations and spread awareness about the PM Muft Bijli Yojana.
Health indicators including institutional deliveries, low birth weight, and implementation of JSY/JSSK schemes were discussed.
The Education Department was instructed to fast-track school infrastructure projects including construction of toilets, provision of drinking water and electrification.
Revenue and Social Welfare departments reported on certificate issuance (OBC, ST, RBA, EWS, Domicile), scholarships, Ladli Beti, State Marriage Assistance and pension schemes.
The Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department was directed to ensure 100% coverage of Artificial Insemination and vaccinations.
Emphasizing transparency and timely services delivery, the DDC urged all departments to maintain beneficiary records and remove procedural bottlenecks for efficient execution of schemes.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, PO ICDS, CPO, Gen. Manager DIC, ACP, Dy. Director, Employment, ACD/ EO Municipality, ACR, CAHO, DSHO, CAO, CHO, Xen JPDCL, BDO/DIO, Tehsildar Hqr, AD FCS&CA, LDM besides other concerned officers.
