Annual Scientific Advisory Committee meeting held at KVK Kupwara

V.C SKUAST-K urges KVK Kupwara to explore new opportunities for innovation & improvement

KUPWARA: Annual Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting was held today at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kupwara.
Vice Chancellor SKUAST Kashmir, Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganie presided-over the meeting while Prof. Raihana Habib Kanth, Director Extension, SKUAST Kashmir also attended the meeting.
Heads of various KVKs, district officers of line departments, KVK Kupwara staff, scientific staff from the Directorate of Extension, and progressive farmers of district Kupwara were also present at the event.
Besides, Director ATARI (Zone I) and scientific staff of the zone also participated virtually in the meeting.
Addressing the meet, Vice Chancellor lauded the efforts of KVK Kupwara for its remarkable efforts in introducing high-yielding crop varieties. He urged the KVK Kupwara to explore new opportunities for innovation and improvement, with the vision of making it one of the leading KVKs in the country.
Director Extension SKUAST-K called for extensive farmer outreach programmes, and fostering entrepreneurship among rural youth.
Earlier, a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation of the action taken report was given by Dr. Kaiser Mohiuddin Malik, Head KVK Kupwara, highlighting the achievements of the previous year, key action points, and future strategies.
To recognize and encourage outstanding contributions, several progressive farmers of the district were felicitated with appreciation certificates by the Vice Chancellor, boosting their morale and commitment to agricultural excellence.
