ADDC Shopian chairs meeting on HADP, other schemes of agriculture & allied sectors

Calls for maximizing the coverage & achieving targets
SHOPIAN: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone convened a meeting of agriculture & allied sectors here at Mini-Secretariat Shopian today to review the progress and implementation of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) and Competitiveness Improvement of agriculture & allied sectors projects in J&K (JKCIP) Application Status.
During the meeting, ADDC stressed upon concerned officers to ensure timely execution of schemes and effective coverage of beneficiaries. He directed the agriculture and allied departments to work in close coordination for maximizing awareness among farmers about the benefits of HADP, crop insurance under PMFBY and credit support through JKCIP.
He further emphasized achieving the set targets within the stipulated time frame so that farmers at the grassroots level can avail maximum benefits of these schemes. He also underlined the need to address bottlenecks, streamline service delivery and ensure transparency in implementation.
Dr Lone also discussed promotion of greenhouses/polyhouses for round the year vegetable cultivation and enhanced productivity.
The meeting reviewed the establishment of high- density apple/orchard plantation, rejuvenation of old orchards, introduction of modern technology and promotion of greenhouse nurseries, targets under Agriculture Credit, KKG app installation, Daksh Kisan Registration and output tracking of HADP assets.
Likewise, targets under Agriculture credit, KKG app installation, Daksh Kisan Registration and output tracking of HADP assets were also reviewed.
CAO, CHO, CAHO, DSHO, district officers and other concerned were present.
