Srinagar’s Mohammad Qais Shines, Bags Gold in Soft Tennis Championship

Srinagar, Aug 22 (JKNS): Srinagar Boy Mohammad Qais won the Gold Medal in the Soft Tennis Championship held at Gindun Tennis Courts, Srinagar.

The championship as per news agency JKNS was organised by Srinagar Amateur Soft Tennis Association under the banner of J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, affiliated with Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India, in collaboration with J&K Sports Council. The two-day event was played from August 21 to 22, 2025.

Speaking after his victory, Qais told JKNS, “This medal is very special for me. Winning in Srinagar in front of my people gives me more motivation to work harder and bring more laurels to Jammu and Kashmir.”

The final match and prize distribution ceremony were attended by Gh. Nabi Raja, Chairman J&K Amateur Soft Tennis Association, Dilbagh Singh, Manager Gindun Multi Sports Complex, and Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Chairman DDC Khansahib, among others. (JKNS)
