SHOPIAN: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta today conducted an extensive inspection of various under construction Rural Development department (RDD) works being executed in Keller block.
During the inspection at Chowan, DC took stock of ongoing works including drainage systems, road networks and other soil protection and slope stability works being carried out under different schemes in the panchayat.
Gupta emphasised upon ACD Shopian to ensure that all works are expedited and completed within the stipulated timelines without compromising the quality and durability of works across the district.
He highlighted the significance of infrastructure development in rural areas and called upon all to submit to the highest standards of work ethics.
DC emphasized that the developmental works being executed are directly linked with public welfare and empowerment and hence require strict monitoring and timely execution across 98 Panchayats of the district.
He also asked the concerned officers to ensure proper utilization of funds, maintain transparency at all levels and remove any bottlenecks hampering the progress of works.
DC was accompanied by ADC, Dr.Zakir Hussain Faaz; GM DIC, Shurjil Naikoo; ACD, Mushtaq Ahmad, DSEO, Tehsildar and BDO during the visit.
