“Professional courses at Rayat Bahra are designed to give students a competitive edge, ensuring they are placement-ready even before completing their degrees,” Bahra said, as per the news agency JKNS, adding that the new programmes would particularly benefit students from J&K seeking career opportunities outside the region.

Established in 2008, the 55-acre campus hosts over 10,000 students and offers modern facilities, including well-equipped labs, extensive libraries, hostels, and sports infrastructure. The university currently provides courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, Management, Education, Law, Nursing, and diploma and certificate programmes in medical and allied fields.

Highlighting future plans, Bahra announced that new-age courses will be introduced in collaboration with multinational companies to further strengthen employment opportunities for students.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Dr Chander Mohan and other officials were also present on the occasion.—(JKNS)
