Srinagar, Aug 21 (JKNS): Cabinet Minister and MLA Rafiabad, Javid Ahmad Dar, on Thursday visited the revered Ziyarat Khawaja Hassan Qari (RA) at Hardushiva Zaingair, Baramulla, to take stock of arrangements for the upcoming Urs celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dar as per news agency JKNS said, “The shrines of our saints are centres of spiritual guidance, and public welfare lies in serving these sacred places with sincerity and devotion.” He added that the government remains committed to ensuring smooth conduct of religious gatherings.

The Minister was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore S. A. Raina, ACD Baramulla Mudasir Choudhary, Tehsildar Bomai Zahid Rashid, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Baramulla, Chief Agriculture and Horticulture Officers Baramulla, officers from PDD, R&B, Naib Tehsildar Duroo, BDO Dangerpora, BDO Tujar Sharief, Station House Officer Bomai, and other officials from different departments.

Officials informed that all necessary arrangements including power, water supply, sanitation, and traffic management are being finalised for the Urs, which will commence tomorrow, while Shab-e-Bedari will be observed this evening.

The Minister urged officials to work in close coordination to ensure devotees face no inconvenience during the spiritual gatherings. (JKNS)
