Kulgam, Aug 20 (JKNS): In a continued effort to strengthen police-public relations and address local concerns, SSP Kulgam Shri Sahil Sarangal-IPS chaired a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Village Sangran under the jurisdiction of Police Station Qazigund.

The meeting as per news agency JKNS witnessed active participation from various sections of society, including members of Market Associations, Auqaf Committees, Chowkidars, Numberdars, local youth, and other prominent community representatives. Senior officers from Kulgam Police, including SDPO Qazigund, were also present.

During the interaction, participants raised several issues and grievances. SSP Kulgam gave a patient hearing and assured that genuine concerns related to other departments would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for necessary action. He further assured that police-related issues would be addressed on a priority basis.

In his address, SSP Kulgam highlighted the critical role of community cooperation in maintaining law and order. He urged attendees to support police efforts in curbing criminal activities, particularly drug abuse and other anti-social elements. He also encouraged citizens to promptly report any suspicious activities, contributing to a peaceful and secure environment in the district.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks exchanged between the Police and community members, reinforcing the spirit of mutual trust, cooperation, and shared responsibility for the betterment of society. (JKNS)
