Sopore, Aug 20 (JKNS): The body of a fisherman who went missing four days ago was recovered on Wednesday from the Jhelum river near Tulbal Bypass Bridge in Sopore.
An official told news agency JKNS that the body of Ali Mohammad Dar, who had been missing since he went fishing on Saturday evening, was retrieved by rescue teams.
The massive search operation had been underway for the past four days, with teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Police, and local fishermen working to trace him, official said.
The body has been shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore for medico-legal formalities, he said.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation started. (JKNS
