CRPF Remembers Martyr Reyaz Ahmad Rather on 8th Death Anniversary

Anantnag, Aug 16 (JKNS): On the solemn occasion of the 8th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shaheed Head Constable/GD Reyaz Ahmad Rather (No. 973361802), the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) paid rich tributes to the braveheart who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

A Deputy Commandant of 163 Bn CRPF, visited the martyr’s family at his native village Nowgam, Verinag, District Anantnag, Nodal Officer Sh. Ashish Kumar, Deputy Commandant , along with his wife, offered floral tributes and conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the the Force CRPF.

During the visit, Sh. Ashish Kumar reiterated the CRPF’s unwavering commitment to the families of its martyrs and emphasized that the sacrifices made by its brave personnel will always be remembered with pride and respect. The gesture was a symbol of the CRPF’s enduring solidarity and honor for those who laid down their lives in service of the nation.

Shaheed HC/GD Reyaz Ahmad Rather attained martyrdom on 16th August 2017, two days after sustaining grievous injuries in a grenade attack by militants at Radar Station, Charar-e-Sharief, District Budgam, on 14th August 2017. He was then serving with 181 Battalion CRPF and was performing main gate duty when he was targeted.

The CRPF salutes the valor, dedication, and supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Reyaz Ahmad Rather. His story of bravery continues to inspire generations and reinforces the spirit of courage and selfless service.
