Meeting of Panel Lawyers held at G’bl, stress laid on effective delivery of Legal Aid Services

GANDERBAL: Pursuant to the calendar of activities for the month of August 2025, a meeting of panel lawyers was conducted today in the office chamber of the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal.
The meeting, chaired by Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal, Sheikh Babar Hussain, brought together panel lawyers from DLSA Ganderbal, TLSC Ganderbal, and TLSC Kangan, with an objective to discuss challenges in case management and sharing best practices, ensuring high standards in the provision of effective legal representation, addressing issues and challenges faced by panel lawyers in representing vulnerable populations.
During the meeting, Secretary, DLSA emphasized the importance of regularly updating cases assigned to panel lawyers on the LACMS/LSAMS NALSA portal. He stressed that timely updates would ensure transparency, efficiency, and effective monitoring of cases, ultimately contributing to the delivery of quality legal aid services.
Secretary stressed panel lawyers to ensure providing high-quality, client-focused legal aid services while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
