Srinagar, Aug 14 (JKNS): Grand Mufti of Jammu & Kashmir Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam, and Mirwaiz-Kashmir Molvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and destruction caused by a sudden cloudburst in Chashoti, Kishtwar.
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam conveyed condolences to the bereaved families, calling the incident a grave tragedy. “Our prayers are with the affected families during this difficult time,” he said.
In a post on X, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq wrote, “Deeply anguished by the tragic cloudburst in Chashoti, Kishtwar, which has resulted in multiple casualties and widespread distress. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.”
Both leaders urged the administration and relief agencies to provide urgent assistance to the victims and ensure rehabilitation of the affected families. (JKNS)
