KULGAM: District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) Kulgam today approved 408 cases of youth-led business ventures under Mission YUVA, giving a major boost to entrepreneurship and self-employment in the district.
Out of the total 408 approved cases, 399 cases fall under Nano Enterprises, 08 cases under New MSME, and 01 case under Existing Enterprises Scheme.
DLIC meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan and attended by key members of the committee including GM DIC, District Development Manager NABARD, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Kulgam, District Nodal Officer JKEDI, Career Counselling Officer, Employment Officer DE&CC Kulgam and Lead District Manager (LDM) Kulgam.
The cases presented for DLIC approval had undergone a detailed scrutiny and verification process conducted by the Small Business Development Unit (SBDU) ensuring transparency, viability, and alignment with Mission YUVA’s objectives.
The projects approved under this phase span over a diverse set of sectors including agri-allied ventures, service-oriented businesses, trades & retail setups. Beneficiaries will receive financial assistance, mentorship, and handholding support under the scheme, coordinated by the District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kulgam in collaboration with other line departments.
