Kokernag, Aug 9 (JKNS): Authorities in Kokernag have penalised an eatery after spoiled meat was found during a joint inspection drive on Saturday.
Details available with news agency JKNS reveal that the inspection, carried out by the Tehsil Office Kokernag, SHO Kokernag, CAPD Kokernag, and the Municipal Committee Kokernag, led to the seizure of 25 pieces of rotten Rista and 15 pieces of kabab from an eatery at Vailoo.
The contaminated food items were destroyed on the spot, and a fine of ₹18,000 was imposed for serving unhygienic and unfit food to customers.
Officials said the inspection was part of ongoing measures to enforce food safety and hygiene standards in the area and warned food business operators of strict legal action for violations. (JKNS)
