Srinagar, Aug 5 (JKNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik passed away on Tuesday at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness.
As per news agency JKNS, Malik was undergoing treatment at Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, where he breathed his last.
Satya Pal Malik served as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir during one of its most significant phases in 2019, overseeing the period when the Union Government abrogated Article 370 and bifurcated the erstwhile state into the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. (JKNS
