J&K Govt Grants Final Extension to Power Amnesty Scheme for Domestic Consumers Till March 2026

Srinagar, Aug 4 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has announced the extension of the Amnesty Scheme for domestic electricity consumers till March 31, 2026, offering much-needed relief to households with pending power dues.

According to Government Order, issued by the Power Development Department a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the extension applies to domestic consumers under the same terms and conditions as laid out in Government Order No. 103-PDD of 2022 and Order No. 47-JKPDD of 2024, except for the 100% waiver of interest and surcharge, which will be applicable only on the outstanding amount as of March 31, 2025.
