Jammu: In a decisive action against unauthorized encroachments, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA), under the guidance of the Vice Chairman, conducted anti-encroachment drive Saturday at Khasra No. 119, Village Majeen, Tehsil Jammu Khas. The enforcement wing of JDA, in close coordination with the District Administration, demolished several illegal plinths and unauthorized structures erected on JDA Land.
During the operation, 7 Commercial structures were sealed by the JDA Enforcement Wing. These commercial establishments had been raised without any sanctioned plan or legal authorization and were found in gross violation of the master plan and land use nor The sealing of these shops was carried out to prevent further misuse of public land and to send a strong message to habitual encroachers.
Speaking on the matter, the Vice Chairman, JDA, reiterated the Authority’s commitment to safeguard government land from encroachments and restore its lawful use for public welfare. “Let this serve as a stern warning that no illegal construction or occupation of JDA land will be tolerated. Regular drives will continue across the region to uphold the rule of law and the sanctity of the city’s master plan,” the Vice Chairman said.
The Jammu Development Authority urges the public to refrain from unauthorized construction and to obtain requisite permissions before undertaking any development on land falling within JDA jurisdiction.
