B’la hosts felicitation ceremony under Sampoornata Abhiyan to celebrate grassroots achievements

BARAMULLA: District administration Baramulla organized the Sampoornata Abhiyan Samaan Samaroh at Dak Bungalow Baramulla to honor the outstanding achievements during the Sampoornata Abhiyan, a landmark initiative held from July to September 2024.
The Sampoornata Abhiyan focused on achieving 100% saturation of six key performance indicators in both Aspirational Districts and Aspirational Blocks. Baramulla district successfully achieved this goal, earning a Gold Medal for its performance in both the Aspirational District Programme (ADP) and the Aspirational Block Programme (ABP).
The event was attended by MLA Pattan, Riyaz Ahmad Bedar; Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa; Chief Planning Officer Baramulla, district and sectoral officers, field staff, frontline workers, who were felicitated for their contributions toward achieving 100% saturation of key indicators under the Sampoornata Abhiyan.
During the function, a video message from the CEO of NITI Aayog was played, in which he appreciated the efforts of the district administration Baramulla for their exemplary commitment and results under the Sampoornata Abhiyan. He stated that Baramulla has emerged as a leading district in the implementation of development programmes and serves as a model for other aspirational regions.
MLA Pattan, in his remarks, appreciated the work done by the administration and supporting staff. He said, “Programmes like Sampoornata Abhiyan reflect the government’s commitment to equitable development. Baramulla’s performance is an encouraging example of what focused teamwork and mission-driven governance can achieve.”
Addressing the occasion, Deputy Commissioner acknowledged the efforts of the field staff, frontline workers, and officials for their coordinated work, which has led to tangible progress across various sectors. He added that the district administration remains committed to delivering inclusive development and effective public service delivery.
The event provided an opportunity for departments to take stock of their performance under the Abhiyan and to continue efforts toward strengthening service delivery and improving developmental indicators across the district.
