Anantnag, Aug 1 (JKNS): A man died after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Hamzapora Semthan area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday, officials said.
An official told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Dar, son of Gh Rasool Dar, a resident of Tulkhan Bijbehara, who was a labourer by profession.
Dar was critically injured in the accident and was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara, where doctors declared him brought dead, official added.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation started. (JKNS)
