Srinagar, Aug 01: The Department of Posts will roll out the next-generation APT (Accounts and Postal Technology) Application on 4th August 2025, marking a significant advancement in the modernization of postal operations. The upgraded application will be implemented across Jammu Postal Division, Srinagar Postal Division, Udhampur Postal Division, Ladakh Postal Division, and PSD Jammu as part of this digital transformation initiative.

To facilitate a smooth and secure transition to the new platform, a planned downtime has been scheduled on 2nd August 2025, during which no public transactions will be conducted at the post offices. This temporary suspension is necessary to enable data migration, system validation, and configuration processes ahead of the launch of IT 2.0.

The APT 2.0 Application is designed to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance service delivery, and provide customers with a secure and user-friendly digital interface. This initiative underscores the Department’s commitment to aligning postal services with the vision of Digital India, ensuring smarter, faster, and future-ready services for citizens.

Customers are advised to plan their visits in advance in view of this short transition period. The temporary inconvenience is an essential step towards delivering improved and digitally empowered postal services across the region.
