Dr. Qayoom after assessing each case, reaffirmed that deserving and eligible NOKs shall receive timely benefits. “Compensatory relief under SRO-43 should not be seen merely as official procedures but as our responsibility towards families who have suffered great personal loss,” stressed Dr. Qayoom.

DC further urged all departments to adopt a proactive approach and ensure that all required formalities and verifications are completed within stipulated timelines.

With regard to cases where reports or required documentation were pending, the DC directed the concerned officers to submit the necessary reports at the earliest to avoid unnecessary delays in decision-making.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioners of Pulwama, Awantipora and Tral, and officers from Police, defense and district administration.
