Ganderbal, July 18 (JKNS): A 70-year-old woman from Maharashtra died near the registration office at Baltal on Friday after falling unconscious by the roadside.
An official told news agency JKNS that the deceased was identified as Kala Pawar, wife of Udashi Pawar, a resident of Busawal, Maharashtra. She was reportedly selling pooja and mala items in the area when she collapsed.
Authorities said she was immediately shifted to the Base Hospital Baltal, where doctors declared her brought dead, he said.
Cognizance of the incident has been taken and further investigation started. (JKNS)
