BANDIPORA, JULY 16: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Wednesday visited the remote upper-reach village of Buthoo in Bandipora district and presided over a public darbar to hear the grievances and demands of the local residents.

On the occasion, residents of Buthoo village presented a detailed memorandum highlighting various developmental issues and pressing demands. After giving a patient hearing, DC assured the villagers that all genuine grievances will be addressed in a time-bound manner. He also sought immediate feedback from the concerned officers regarding the issues raised during the darbar.

Taking serious note of the road connectivity concerns, DC issued on-the-spot directions to the Executive Engineer, R&B, to expedite the resolution of bottlenecks and ensure timely completion of road works.

While interacting with the public, DC described Buthoo as one of the most scenic villages in the district and reiterated the administration’s commitment to its holistic development. He assured the locals that their concerns would be prioritized and necessary steps would be taken by the administration to ensure long-term solutions.

DC was accompanied by a team of district and sectoral officers including the Chief Planning Officer Bandipora, Assistant Commissioner Development, Tehsildar Bandipora, Block Development Officer Bonakoot, Executive Engineers from R&B and Jal Shakti departments, as well as officers from KPDCL and other concerned departments.
