DC Kishtwar reviews arrangements for upcoming Machail Mata Yatra 2025

Kishtwar : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma Friday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of developmental works and necessary arrangements for the upcoming Machail Mata Yatra 2025 commencing from 25th of July 2025 and shall culminate on 5th of Sept 2025.
The meeting was held at the VC Room, DC Office Complex Kishtwar.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed ongoing infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing facilities for pilgrims, including the completion of Yatri Bhawan, renovation of sanitary complexes, development of the area surrounding the Bhawan, uninterrupted power and water supply during the Yatra, medical facility, publicity, online and offline registration, construction of road from Chishoti to Hamori, sanitation and cleanliness, status of Chishoti Bridge and Traffic Plan.
Special emphasis was laid on the timely completion of Chishoti Bridge. The DC directed the Executive Engineer PMGSY to double the shifts for its timely completion.
The DC also instructed the ACD Kishtwar to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation in the area and directed the outsourcing of sanitation workers in coordination with SDM Paddar. Additionally, the installation of 4 mobile toilets was ordered. The DC directed SDM Paddar to notify the cut-off timing of the Yatra and advisory for the general public in consultation with SSP Kishtwar.
The meeting also reviewed the preparation of parking zones, including a parking zone at Gulabgarh Paddar that can accommodate about 2000 vehicles. Directions were issued to all concerned officers to expedite the works, maintain quality standards and improve all already established assets. They were also directed to prepare a list of their staff deployed during the Yatra period and share it along with their contact numbers with the Control Room and DC Office Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by SSP Naresh Singh, ACD/CEO KDA Kaiser Bhawani, SDM Paddar Dr. Amit Kumar, besides other concerned officers and Officials.
The District Administration Kishtwar is committed to ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for the pilgrims during the Shree Machail Mata Ji Yatra 2025.
