DSHJ Suspends All Leave for Medical Staff Amid Amarnath Yatra 2025

Only Maternity and Emergency Medical Leaves Permitted Until Further Orders

Srinagar, July 5 (JKNS): In light of the ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, the Directorate of Health Services has issued strict instructions barring all kinds of leave for doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other health department officials across Jammu and Kashmir, except in cases of maternity or extreme medical emergencies.

According to a circular accessed by news agency JKNS, In view of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, it is hereby impressed upon all Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, and other Divisional Officers falling within the jurisdiction of this Directorate that all kinds of leave either under consideration at the Directorate level or at the respective offices of CMOS and other DDOS-in respect of doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, and other officials of this department, shall not be sanctioned, except in cases of maternity leave or leave due to extreme medical exigencies.

Furthermore, all Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents, and other Divisional Officers are strictly directed not to forward any leave cases, except those mentioned above, to this Directorate until further orders, reads the order. (JKNS)
