CMO Kupwara Conducts Surprise Visit to SDH Kupwara, Stresses Compassionate Patient Care

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara, Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, paid a surprise late-night visit to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara to evaluate the hospital’s functioning and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services.

During the inspection, Dr. Wani interacted with patients and their attendants to gather direct feedback on the services being provided. He also reviewed the attendance of on-duty medical and paramedical staff and expressed satisfaction with their presence and performance.

Stressing the need for patient-centric services, Dr. Wani directed hospital staff to maintain the highest standards of medical care and exhibit compassionate behavior in all patient interactions. “Delivering quality healthcare with a humane touch must remain our top priority,” he emphasized.

Dr. Wani was accompanied by the Deputy CMO Kupwara, the Medical Superintendent of SDH Kupwara, and the Block Medical Officer.

The visit is part of the health department’s broader initiative to strengthen healthcare delivery and promote accountability across the district.
