Srinagar, July 4 (JKNS): A man was apprehended in Hamdaniya Colony Bemina area of Srinagar on Friday after being found in possession of a heroin-like substance during routine patrolling, police said.
A police official told JKNS that the suspect, identified as Sabir Mohammad, a resident of Sector-6, Hamdaniya Colony Bemina, was found moving suspiciously. “Upon frisking, 6.26 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession,” the official said.
He added that an FIR No. 69/2025 under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bemina, and further investigation has been taken up. (JKNS)
