Jammu-Srinagar NH44 Blocked Due to Heavy Rain and Mudslide, Commuters Advised to Avoid Travel

Ramban, June 25 (JKNS): The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH‑44) has been blocked at Mehad and Tunnel 2 (Ramban) following heavy rains and a massive mudslide, bringing traffic to a standstill from both ends.

An official told news agency JKNS that the traffic movement has been suspended and people are advised not to travel on NH‑44 until the weather improves and the highway is cleared. Restoration work is underway to reopen the stretch as soon as possible.
