Srinagar, June 22: Amid the midnight U.S. strikes and use of force in Iran, the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association announced on Saturday that over 700 Kashmiri students stranded across various parts of Iran are safe and await evacuation.
National Convener of Association Nasir Khuehami told JKNS that, efforts are underway to move the students to Mashhad and towards the Armenia border, from where they will be airlifted to New Delhi. Two special flights have been scheduled for the day.
“The Indian Embassy is arranging transportation facilities for the stranded students and is in constant coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs and Embassy officials to ensure their safe and smooth evacuation,” he said.
The Association reassured anxious families that every measure is being taken to secure the students’ return. (JKNS)
