Srinagar :Police in Ganderbalon Friday observed with serious concern that certain individuals are plying vehicles without valid registration plate numbers, which is a clear violation of Motor Vehicle Rules and poses a significant threat to public safety and security.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar Police said that Police in Ganderbal have seized many vehicles and initiated strict legal action against the violators , reiterating therein that such violations will be dealt with firmly under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and other applicable laws in future too.
Calling upon the vehicle owners and drivers to ensure that their vehicles display proper, valid, and visible Registration Plates at all times Police its statement warned that non-compliance will lead to seizure of their vehicles and legal proceedings against the violators.
According to the above referred Police statement SSP Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal has warned all Stunt Bikers to refrain from performing stunts and directed the field formations to take stringent action against the violators.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police appealed people to cooperate with it in maintaining law and order and report any such violations to the nearest Police Station or on the Police helpline No. ERSS Dial 112.
