Pahalgam, Jun 14 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday visited the residence of Syed Aadil Hussain, one of the victims of the tragic April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, and handed over a government job letter to Adil’s wife as a gesture of state support.

“This visit was a solemn commitment. We had assured the family of all possible support, and today’s step reflects our efforts to stand by them in this hour of grief,” LG Sinha said, as per news agency JKNS, while speaking to reporters after the visit.

LG Sinha said, “I visited the home of Aadil, who lost his life in a terrorist attack while saving tourists. Financial assistance was also provided to his family by the Ministry of Home Affairs through the J&K administration, and many states extended help as well. Today, his wife has been given a permanent job.”

LG Sinha reached Aadil’s home in the Hapatnard area of Pahalgam to personally express condolences and extend solidarity with the bereaved family. Aadil, who was among the 26 people killed in the brutal attack, was the family’s sole breadwinner.

During the visit, the Lieutenant Governor handed over the appointment letter to Aadil’s wife, Gulnaz Akhter, assuring her of full government assistance.

He stated that the decision to provide a permanent job to the victim’s kin was taken to honour Aadil’s sacrifice and to ensure the family does not face financial hardship in the aftermath of the tragedy. (JKNS)
