Srinagar, Jun 11 (JKNS): BJP National Executive Member, Minister of State, and Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, on Wednesday termed the 11-year rule of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the “Golden Years of Modern India,” during a press conference held in Anantnag as part of BJP’s nationwide outreach.
Addressing reporters, Dr. Andrabi as per news agency JKNS said, “During these eleven years, Modiji corrected the wrongs of earlier regimes and ensured India’s rise as a global power through bold and visionary decisions.” She asserted that schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Awaas Yojna, Digital India, Khelo India, and Direct Benefit Transfers have significantly uplifted the poor and marginalized, with transparency and efficiency replacing corruption.
“Modiji created a governance system free from scams, irregularities, and middlemen,” she said, adding that India today stands as the world’s fourth-largest economy and is on the verge of becoming the third-largest. She credited initiatives like UPI and Make in India for boosting India’s self-reliance and economic growth.

On Waqf reforms, she said, “For the first time, the J&K Waqf Board was constituted under the Central Act, enabling reforms and unprecedented development.” She called the current period “Amrit Kaal,” laying the foundation for a Viksit Bharat.
