Poonch: The Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Poonch has written to the Station House Officer of Police Station Poonch, requesting the lodging of an FIR against several individuals involved in a physical altercation within the hospital premises.
As per the communication by Medical Supritendent to concerned SHO a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, the incident took place around 12:10 PM on June 8, 2025, when three residents of Dara Dulliana engaged in a domestic dispute that escalated into a violent fight at their residence. The injured parties later arrived at the District Hospital Poonch for treatment.
However, around 12:00 PM, the individuals involved allegedly began attacking each other again in the Emergency Wing of the hospital, even in the presence of Hospital Police personnel. The fight caused serious disruption to emergency services, damaged hospital property, and created panic among other patients and staff.
The Medical Superintendent further stated that unknown persons from the same group recorded and circulated videos of the incident on social media, including Facebook, further disturbing public order.
The letter formally requests that police take legal action under relevant criminal laws against those involved, including individuals responsible for filming and sharing the incident online. (JKNS)
