UP Couple Suffers Burns in Genset Shock Incident at Kangan, Referred to SKIMS

Srinagar, June 06 (JKNS): A couple from Uttar Pradesh, sustained burn injuries due to an electric shock from a generator set (genset) in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday late night officials said.

They told news agency JKNS that the injured have been identified as Sameer Ahmad and his wife Saba. The couple was shifted to SKIMS after receiving preliminary treatment at the sub-district hospital.

The couple was working at an aluminium unit in Kangan when the genset reportedly malfunctioned, causing both to receive an electric shock and suffer burn injuries, they said.

Sameer Ahmad’s condition is stated to be critical, while Wife is reported to be stable, they added. (JKNS)
