Srinagar, June 6 (JKNS): A man lost his life and four others were injured in a road accident involving two vehicles near Nehru Park area of Srinagar on Thursday late evening.

An official told news agency JKNS that the accident occurred due to a collision between a Maruti IGNIS and a Maruti ALTO in which a man was killed and other onboard persons were injured.

He said said, one critically injured person, identified as Danish Ahmad (30), a resident of Harwan, was shifted to SMHS Hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after being brought to hospital.

Meanwhile, other injured were brought to SMHS Hospital. All suffered multiple injuries and are stated to be stable.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
