Katra, June 6 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said that the idea of a truly connected India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari is no longer a political slogan but a visible truth, made possible by the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking at a public event after the inauguration of the Chenab and Anji bridges and the launch of train connectivity to the Valley, LG Sinha as per news agency JKNS said, “Today, Prime Minister Modi has not only flagged off Vande Bharat trains but has also gifted the Kashmir rail project to the country. This is not just a rail journey it is the realisation of the national vision once dreamt by Sardar Patel and Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.”
LG Sinha said that the recent achievements in infrastructure under the present government have transformed the pace of development in the region. “Over the last three years, developmental works worth ₹1.16 lakh crore have been completed. These roads, bridges, tunnels and railway lines are not mere structure they are the foundation of a new Jammu and Kashmir,” Sinha said.
He added that these projects were reshaping the future of the region. “Each of these milestones is drawing a new destiny for the people of J&K. The infrastructure we’re witnessing today is not just development it is empowerment,” he stated.
Touching upon the recent Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 people including tourists, the LG said, “Our response was swift. Under Operation Sionmdoor, the security forces delivered a strong reply. We have sent out a clear message terrorism will never be allowed to flourish on this land.”
